Persistent Activity
CYDECTIN® S when used at the recommended dose rate prevents reinfection with Haemonchus contortus for 35 days and Ostertagia circumcincta for at least 21 days following a single oral dose.
Dosage
- 1 mL/5kg of oral drench to give 0.2mg moxidectin/kg liveweight
Directions for use
Ready for use. Administer 1mL per 5kg liveweight using any standard drenching equipment. Equipment should be checked for accuracy of dose delivery before drenching commences. Check accuracy of drench guns regularly.
For animals under 10 kg or over 80 kg use at a rate of 1mL per 5kg. Do not underdose. Weigh sheep before treating and draft animals into lines of similar bodyweight. Choose dose according to the weight of the heaviest animals.
Withholding Times
- Meat: Sheep producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter during or within 10 days of the last treatment
- Milk: Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment 35 days following the last treatment
